The Loft is a haven hidden amongst the vineyards, has been designed for slow, indulgent days. The generous king bed is finished with crisp cotton linen, plush bathrobes, and locally made bath products, setting the tone from the moment you arrive.

Each morning begins with a daily self-catered breakfast hamper, complete with organic eggs, bacon, muesli, yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread, jam, and a selection of beverages. Everything you need for beach days is on hand, and everything you need for staying in is already here.

The living area is warm and inviting, with soft natural light and a log fire for cooler evenings. The full kitchen is equipped to a high standard, keeping things simple whether you’re preparing breakfast or enjoying slow evenings at the Loft.

Step outside and soak in the outdoor bath, surrounded by views over olive trees and rolling valley. Wander the estate, help yourself to fresh produce from the kitchen garden, collect eggs from the hen house, stroll through the native bush filled with ancient Puriri trees, or picnic under the towering Pohutukawa overlooking neighbouring vineyards.

With vineyard borders on all sides, the Loft sits within easy walking distance of Miro/Casita Miro, Stonyridge, Te Motu and Obsidian, making world-class food and wine part of everyday life here. A short walk down the hill brings you to Onetangi Beach, with 2.5 kilometres of white sand and relaxed seaside dining

Guest Access

Guests have private access to the entire Loft accommodation, outdoor areas, and the surrounding estate walking tracks, gardens, olive grove, and vineyard areas as described in the original listing.

Neighbourhood

The Loft sits in a peaceful and highly regarded part of Onetangi, surrounded by vineyards and open rural landscape. Within walking distance are Casita Miro, Stonyridge, Te Motu, and Obsidian, making winery lunches and cellar door visits part of the everyday experience.

Onetangi Beach is just below the estate and offers swimming, long walks, and a relaxed dining strip along the sand. Local favourites nearby include Charlie Farley’s for casual beachside meals, Ki Māha for refined beachfront dining, and Three Seven Two for relaxed coastal food. The Heke is a short drive away and is popular for craft beer, casual dining, and open outdoor spaces.

Ostend Market runs every Saturday and is within easy reach, along with local food stores, scenic walking tracks, and some of Waiheke’s most established winery restaurants.

Other Things to Know

Minimum stays: The property is supplied by rainwater tanks. Please be mindful of water usage during your stay.

Getting Around

There is parking available at the Estate.

Buses run regularly between Onetangi and the passenger ferry, stopping near major wineries including The Heke, before continuing into Oneroa and down to the Matiatia ferry terminal.

Taxis and local transport services are available, though booking in advance is recommended during peak periods.
